The „Milleniumview“ situated on the border of a quarry in the landscape called Schaumburger Land near Bückeburg, Germany,  was established on the occasion of
EXPO 2000 in Hannover. It is a sculpural staircase construction on the ridge of the highest rock wall of the quarry, which acts as a symbol for the whole site and the changing of the millenium. Built from the quarry´s stones, it terminates in a viewing platform set perpendicular to the direction of ascent. The cantilevered platform has a steel structure into which are integrated ten frames out of green glass. Their parallel setting defines views across large areas of landscape to the north and south.
Forerunners in connection with Jahrtausendblick are two projects of Haus-Rucker-Co: BIG PIANO and RAHMENBAU (Framebuilding)
